WHAT IS SSC JE ?
SSC JE is an examination for the post of junior engineer in various government department . staff selection commission is the body that conduct the examination . SSC JE is a central level job .

Junior Engineer (Civil).
Junior Engineer (Mechanical and Electrical Engineering).

SALARY
As SSC JE is a group B post , it has a good salary . The approximate salary of the job is above 50000 .
 
ABOUT EXAM
Every year staff selection commission releases the notification for the job of junior engineer in various government department like CPWD (Central Public Work Department),CWC (Central Water Commission),BRO(Border Road Organisation) . 
The examination is of two tiers which is prelims and mains .

TIER 1 is of objective type consisting of 200 multiple choice questions. The questions are divided in two groups Technical and Non technical . Technical section is of 100 questions , based on technical subjects of your exam . Non technical section has 50 questions of general intelligence and reasoning and 50 questions of general awareness . 
TIER 2 is of subjective nature totally based on technical subjects of your related field . Tier 2 is of 300 marks . In tier 2 students has to attempt 5 questions of 60 marks each . Each 60 marks question is further divided into 4 parts of 15 marks each .

EXAM MODE
Mode of Tier 1 is online . Tier 2 is of offline mode .

AGE
Student should be above the age of 18 years

QUALIFICATION
Qualification for the exams are:
DIPLOMA IN ENGINEERING OR BACHELOR IN ENGINEERING in civil , mechanical and electrical.
